Are my images uploaded?
No. The page loads its own HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Selected image bytes stay in the browser and are not posted to an application server.
Does resizing preserve aspect ratio?
Yes. Exact width calculates height from the original ratio. Percentage scales width and height together. Each result dimension is at least 1 pixel. If a requested size would exceed 4096 × 4096 px, the result is scaled down proportionally to fit.
What is the maximum output size?
4096 × 4096 px. Target width cannot be greater than 4096. Percentage resizes that would exceed that bound are reduced to fit, without changing the aspect ratio.
What image formats are supported?
JPEG/JPG, PNG, and WebP. GIF, BMP, TIFF, and other types are skipped and reported in the status text.
Why does my browser download a ZIP instead of saving directly to a folder?
Writing into a folder you pick uses the File System Access API, which Chrome and Edge support. Safari, Firefox, and similar browsers download resized-images.zip instead.
Does resizing preserve EXIF/metadata?
No. Exported files are newly encoded images. Camera EXIF and other metadata are not copied.
